Biografía
Mi formación investigadora se inicia en el año 2007 mediante la concesión de una beca de investigación en el grupo de Ingeniería y Tecnologías de Materiales y Fabricación (TEP-027) de la Universidad de Cádiz, vinculada al proyecto “Análisis y Evaluación del Rendimiento del Mecanizado de Aleaciones de Interés Aeroespacial”. En el seno del mismo realicé parte de las investigaciones incluidas en mi Tesis Doctoral, desarrollada posteriormente con el soporte de una beca de formación de personal docente-investigador (FPDI) de la Junta de Andalucía, que fue leída en junio de 2013 y a la cual se sumó posteriormente un año post-doctoral.\nMi investigación ha estado centrada en la Ingeniería de Fabricación, especialmente en el mecanizado y texturizado de materiales estratégicos, como líneas del grupo anteriormente citado, en la que se enmarcan los 14 proyectos de I+D+i en los que he participado, destacando que en cuatro de ellos he actuado como focal-point en coordinación con el IP (investigador principal) del proyecto. Además, he sido IP en otros 4, incluyendo un proyecto RETO actualmente activo, concedido dentro del programa estatal de investigación, convocatoria 2017, así como un proyecto de infraestructura científico-tecnológica con una dotación cercana a 1M€. Paralelamente, he realizado numerosos cursos de especialización y estancias en centros de reconocido prestigio, tanto españoles como extranjeros.\nEl trabajo en estas líneas me ha permitido obtener un amplio bagaje y conocimiento de la problemática del sector aeronáutico, especialmente en lo referente al estudio de los procesos de conformado por eliminación de material, y particularmente en los procesos fresado, torneado y taladrado. En este último proceso, cabe también destacar la experiencia adquirida mediante contratos de transferencia con la multinacional Airbus, centrados en la optimización del proceso de taladrado de stacks multi-material, abordado desde el estudio y evaluación de señales on-line del proceso, el uso de técnicas eco-eficientes de refrigeración y el diseño de geometrías optimizadas para herramientas corte.\nLa difusión de los resultados de las investigaciones ha dado lugar a 89 artículos en revistas indexadas en el Scimago Journal Ranking, estando 34 de ellas indexadas en el Journal Citation Report, a 8 capítulos de libro y a 115 contribuciones en congresos nacionales e internacionales.\nActualmente disfruto de un contrato permanente de Profesor Contratado Doctor, y desde diciembre de 2019 soy responsable del grupo de Ingeniería y Tecnologías de Materiales y Fabricación (TEP-027) de la Universidad de Cádiz, en el cual inicié mi carrera investigadora.
